The Ways We Reach Out

“Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

CCAP Program:

In an ongoing commitment, we contribute food, funding, and support for our local food bank – Congregational Community Action Project – known as CCAP. For more information on this organization, visit CCAP’s website.

Middletown Area Mission Action (MAMA) Project:

Middletown Church was one of eight founding churches of the Middletown Area Mission Action (MAMA) Project, formed in the Fall of 2011 to meet hunger needs of children at Middletown Elementary School (MES). Members at the churches fill “bags of love” with child-friendly, non-perishable food and drink items for students to take home each Friday to provide nutrition during the weekend.

In addition, we pack and deliver family food for a holiday meal and children gifts at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. The families each receive a ham or turkey and all of the trimmings for a delicious dinner plus groceries for a few additional meals.

On average, during this school year, MAMA Project has served 16 families and 30 students that the school identified as needing support to meet hunger needs.
